Get in the mood for this year’s Beer Week at our official preview event, in association with JW Lees.
It’s your chance to get the lowdown on everything that’s going on and take part in our big debate, which asks the question, ‘is cask beer still integral to Manchester’s brewing growth?’
Panellists include JW Lees head brewer Michael Lees-Jones, Cloudwater co-founder Paul Jones and Runaway Brewery head brewer and owner Mark Welsby.
This is also your first opportunity to try two exciting beers being launched for the festival.
The first is the official beer of Manchester Beer Week, a ‘breakfast’ pale ale brewed by Blackjack Brewery in collaboration with Co-op, and the new collaboration created by JW Lees and Cloudwater Brew Co. Yep, that’s a Cloudwater beer on cask!
Tickets cost £5 and include three halves of beer — Manchester Beer Week’s official beer, the JW Lees collaboration with Cloudwater, and JW Lees’ award-winning strong ale Moonraker. Nibbles will also be served throughout the evening to accompany the beers.
Can’t say fairer than that!
It promises to be a lively evening and a great chance to have your say on the debate over the future of cask ale and the Manchester beer scene.
