On Friday, June 23rd, there will be a new supermoon lighting up our hearts.
This moon is the last supermoon until December, and it brings a double dose of powerful energy to push us toward that which is meant for us!
We will be harnessing this energy during practice, strengthening your relationship with your emotional body. Allowing yourself to feel what you feel! Releasing stagnant energy and setting a firm intention to move forward with into the next lunar cycle.
Yin – Yang flow is the perfect balance between movement and slow stretches – designed to rejuvenate the body and still the mind.
Yin can be described as stable, immobile, feminine, passive, cold, and downward moving. Yang is depicted as changing, mobile, masculine, active, hot, and upward moving.
Eirian regularly incorporates a slower Yin style of yoga into her classes to complement the more fast paced, muscle contracting and blood pumping Yang – Vinyasa Flow style.
You will begin the class with a breathing exercise and warm up leading into a series of Yin style floor postures held passively for several minutes at a time. The Yin yoga will work on your deeper connective tissues, opening up your body in preparation for a more dynamic, strength building Vinyasa Flow. The flow will then slow and cool down, leading you into deep relaxation.
