We had an amazing time earlier this month with Lakuti — she brought such an incredible atmosphere to the party and thank you to everyone who came and made it wonderful.
This time round, we're celebrating our first birthday! It's hard to believe it's been a whole year since we started and 11 whole parties have passed. We're going to be celebrating in style with TWO guests and we can't wait.
Hesska [Club CITS/NTS Radio/Gesamtkunstwerk] — Hesska is local Manchester DJ who has been running parties in some form for quite a few years. If you ever made it to one of the Gesamkunstwerk nights she co-ran down at Islington Mill, you'll be aware that she sure knows how to throw a party. Equally thrilling, she's been continuing on the tradition now in the form of Club CITS which has been running at Texture, focussing on bringing diverse and forward-thinking club music to Manchester. You can also check out her show on NTS Manchester too. We're really excited for you to hear what she'll bring to the basement.
John Loveless [Cashmere Radio, Berlin] — Once a regular fixture of Manchester dancefloors and decks, John Loveless abandoned the perennial dampness for the sunnier climes of Berlin a few years back. He's since been holding up a brilliant show on the city's Cashmere Radio, having also had shows on Radar Radio and KMAH. You might even have caught him in the Soup Kitchen basement before, as he previously hosted the night Work Them in various clubs across the city. He'll no doubt bring the heat for this overdue homecoming.
There will, of course, be music on the night from Kiss Me Again DJs too.
— Kiss Me Again is a monthly LGBT+ night in Manchester dedicated to bringing a broad spectrum of sounds and good times to queerdos and everyone else in one of the world's finest basements, Soup Kitchen.
