Thursday 31st August 2017: Picnic Club at Fuel Bar, 448 Wilmslow Road, Withington, Manchester M20 3BW, 8pm adm free. Featuring Woski, Flicker Road, Jim McShee, Manny Lee and Zoe Jackson, Picnic Area. Headliners Woski are Tameside's own highly innovative Americana band, with a definite Sparklehorse influence and a generous dash of psychedelia. We welcome Flicker Road, probably the north-west's hardest-working Americana/ folk outfit. Fuel favourite Jim McShee brings his Johnny Cash-influenced songs of British real life all the way from Stoke-on-Trent. Then we have the brilliant vocals of Zoe Jackson backed by ex-Waltone Manny «Sixtus» Lee. And of the course the Picnics, currently adding finishing touches to their stunning new album «No country for young men». Admission free, but we'll be collecting for Jim's travel expenses from Stoke.
