Off Beat are back for 'Off Beat Tuesdays' at Withington’s most loved basement… INDIGO!
But this time the attention is turned to two crucial charities: ‘Charlotte’s BAG’ and ‘The Big Change’.
Music Policy: DISCO / FUNK / SOUL / AFRO / HOUSE
Charlotte's BAG (Battle for Glioblastoma) is one of the only UK charities specifically focused on raising funds for research into, and awareness of, glioblastoma multiforme. This very rare and nearly always terminal form of brain cancer can affect any one of any age. Charlotte’s BAG was started by the family and friends of Charlotte Eades, who died from glioblastoma in 2016 at the age of just nineteen, and who was a huge lover of handbags.

LOVE FOR THE STREETS & THE BIG CHANGE SOCIETY:
Love For The Streets & The Big Change Society — Helping to End Homelessness are local charities with the main aim of helping rough sleepers get off – and stay off – the streets. The Big Change Fund pays for practical items individuals need to build independent lives away from the streets. For example, a deposit on a flat, a training course, clothes for a job interview, furnishing for a new home, or travel costs.
Love For The Streets have been very successful in providing a huge amount of awareness for The Big Change, particularly among the younger generation. Through a series of events, lectures and talks across the city, the campaign has raised an enormous amount of money and attention to one of Manchester’s most pressing issues.
