B.L.O.O.M. & Orchid present:
+ Jacobi (Samuel Lindblad)
Earlier this year Chloé Raunet aka C.A.R. announced the full details of her new album PINNED which is out 16th February on Ransom Note Records.
The new album finds Raunet refining her palette of glimmering electronics and post-punk angles into a thrilling masterpiece of leftfield pop. It locates that elusive sweet spot between immediacy and underground innovation, and as a result stands as her most accomplished work to date.
«Inspired from personal experience, straight-up narrative and a more allegorical view of the world», Raunet says, «PINNED is about coming out of the shadows (in all their forms).»
Jacobi is the stage-name of artist, writer and producer Samuel Jacob Lindblad.
Jacobi’s forthcoming debut EP “I’m Not Present” utilises the industrial and lo-fi instrumentation of familiar names like Gesaffelstein and Burial that traditionally reside in the darker corners of dance music and combines them with experimental vocal arrangements.
The project extrapolates single moments of unfettered feeling and, in doing so, soundtracks the dissociation and escapism that go hand-in-hand with overwhelming emotion.
— “A break-up album that refuses to be sad”
Kirsty is a rapidly rising London based producer and singer.
In order to exercise maximum creative freedom, Kirsty produces her own instrumentals to accompany her classically trained voice.
She uses a mix of analogue and digital techniques to convey her desired musical atmospheres which tend to centre around the theme of introspection.
Kirsty uses samples to achieve a unique and ethereal pop sound tinged with more experimental, trip hop influences.
