Ayahuasca — A Trip to Hell to Cure Depression

“I lost any sense of time, space and matter. I was shown the birthplace of consciousness, and understood that nothing we see is real. What we call reality is simply a manifestation of our thoughts, an hallucination. I cured my depression overnight.”

In the space of nine months, Adam ended a relationship of thirteen years, lost his successful recruitment business and had to give up his home. It was perhaps no surprise that he went into deep depression. With what little he had left (financially and emotionally) he took out a loan and went travelling for six months. This led Adam to Peru, where he had a calling to experience the powers of Ayahuasca.

Often referred to as “plant medicine” for it’s emotional healing qualities, Ayahuasca is made by mixing the bark of one tree with the leaves from another. When prepared correctly (usually by experienced Shamans), the mix creates an incredibly strong, DMT-based hallucinogenic drink. This ‘medicine’ is administered during evening ceremonies, often by Shamans who sing traditional songs and guide participants.

Adam describes his ayahuasca experience as “…intense, at times harrowing, deeply emotional, life changing.” In his first ceremony, Adam revisited all his childhood traumas and saw with clarity when he first felt unloveable. In his second ceremony, Adam claims he was shown the birthplace of consciousness, and how this is responsible for manifesting what we call ‘reality’. He visioned his depression as a tumour, and knew intuitively what was feeding it. In his final ceremony, he experienced a spiritual death. Throughout all this, Adam learned lessons about compassion, authenticity and love — lessons he is keen to share with others.

Speaking almost a year after his trip to Peru, Adam says the experience has changed his life. “ I have not experienced any depression since. My relationships have improved and I am more connected to my purpose — helping others through the struggle of life — than ever before.”

Join Adam as he guides you through this fascinating, life changing experience.
