Stockport Labour Club
2 LLOYD STREET, SK4 1QP Heaton Norris, Stockport, United Kingdom
In the past two years, under the anti-austerity leadership of Jeremy Corbyn, the Labour Party has built a mass-membership party, developed the most radical political manifesto in a generation and removed the Tories' majority despite a relentless assault by the establishment.
The next step is to build a mass social movement through community organising to sweep Labour into government.
Stockport Momentum is delighted to welcome two leading figures within the trade union and labour movement — Jon Lansman and Valery Alzaga — to discuss how Labour can build a mass social movement for change.
Jon Lansman — Jon played a central role in both of Jeremy Corbyn's leadership campaigns. He is the founder of Momentum and was recently elected to the Labour Party NEC
Valery Alzaga — Valery is a trade union organiser and has worked as a labour movement organiser across the globe, including the SEIU's Justice for Janitors Campaign.
All Labour Party members and supporters are welcome.
