Manchester understands the principles of strength and endurance. It was built on them. The Industrial Revolution was infamous for its gruelling working conditions and backbreaking labours. Mills were everywhere and workers toiled for hours often carrying out heavy work for sustained periods.
Test Your Steel pays homage to those days with an industrial themed test of strength and endurance, in front of the iconic Great Northern building on Deansgate.
On Saturday 28th April, athletes from different sporting backgrounds will battle coal, brick, railway sleepers, sand and stones over 5 challenges in a well-rounded test of physical strength and fitness, limited to 14 individual competitors.
