Rascal is back ▶︎▶︎▶︎▶︎
After a hugely successful string of events in Liverpool, Cambridge and Oxford; Rascal returns to Manchester for what is sure to be our best party yet.
Head down to Soup Kitchen, one of the Northern Quarter's most intimate dance spaces to witness Elliot Adamson supported by Brassica (Feel My Bicep) (LIVE).
One of the hottest young talents to emerge out of the Newcastle house and techno music hotbed has got to be Elliot Adamson, with support and critical acclaim from industry giants such as Eats Everything, Jackmaster, Skream and Patrick Topping to name but a few, along with strong press support from DJ Mag and Mixmag, this youngster has already established himself as a future favourite across the UK scene and will continue to develop into an international star, with many prosperous years still ahead of him.
Already gaining notoriety with remixes of The Streets and Dizzie Rascal alongside a wealth of unreleased original material and edits, Elliot is set for a pretty admirable string of releases, forthcoming on the likes of Edible Records, Weapons and Me Me Me by Man Power, adding to his previously successful productions on Hot Creations, Viva Music and Troupe Records.
Brassica’s music distills a storied musical past; capturing Balearic house, real electro, italo disco, new wave, psych, synth music, techno and rave nostalgia, without sounding consigned to any particular part of it.
Brassica’s highly sought early releases on Dissident and his DJ Mag Album of the Year nominated LP “Man Is Deaf” on Civil Music have developed in recent years to more acid, breaks and balmy house on his EP for Feel My Bicep. This transition has aided his are promiscuous liaisons between noir influenced anxiety, naughty MIDI riffs, majestic orchestral moments and elements that could have been caned by Belgian new beat and Italian Cosmic DJs. All this sets his music apart and has earned him an enviable list of supporters including Bicep, DJ Harvey, Maceo Plex, Trevor Jackson, Henry Saiz, Andrew Weatherall and Erol Alkan.
