Elizabeth Gaskell's House, 84 Plymouth Grove, M13 9LW Manchester, United Kingdom
Join us for a special one-day poetry-writing workshop with international writer Rommi Smith.
We’re very excited to offer a bespoke workshop with Rommi, who is the inaugural Poet in Residence for Keats’ House, the inaugural British Parliamentary Writer in Residence, and John Barnard Scholar at the University of Leeds. Rommi was also BBC Poet in Residence for the Commonwealth Games in Manchester and Poet in Residence for BBC Music Live. Her work has featured on a variety of programmes, including BBC Radio 4’s Afternoon Drama, Poetry Please, Late Junction, The Verb and Woman’s Hour.
Join Rommi for this unique writing workshop in the inspirational surroundings of the beautifully-restored former home of Victorian novelist Elizabeth Gaskell. Participants will have exclusive use of the House and gardens during the morning, for contemplation and inspiration, and will enjoy a freshly-prepared lunch, before getting down to more writing in the afternoon. The workshop will be limited to only fifteen places to ensure a focused, high-quality experience, so early booking is advised.
£60, including lunch, tea and coffee.
