Thankyou to everyone who attended TimeQuake 2018!
We would like to thank everybody that came and supported the first ever Time Quake Steampunk Festival in Manchester in 2018. We really do feel that this has the makings of turning into something really special in years to come.
Big events always start somewhere, just like the Asylum Steampunk Festival did 10 years ago, and now it regularly attract well in excess of 100k visitors.
We have noted areas that we will improve on in 2019, as a collaborative event the Ministry of Steampunk working alongside Monopoly Events and Bowlers Exhibition Centre share an ongoing vision. We want to create an immersive celebration of imagination and creativity. We always look ...to improve and make our events run more smoothly each time we do them, and also try to make each show we do more thought provoking than the last. We pride ourselves on introducing new concepts and ideas into our shows.
After the overwhelming demand and feedback we have had, TimeQuake will return on April 5th-7th 2019!
Tickets are currently only available to people who purchased tickets for TQ1, a mailout has gone out to all of those people with information on how to buy tickets. Tickets will go on general sale to the public at a later date.
It will be bigger, better and with even more imagination. Don’t miss out.
TimeQuake is a new concept in Events which premiered to rave reviews in 2018. Immersive, creative and imaginative where the visitors are an integral part of the event. Steampunk driven it has far more to offer than you might expect.
Prop and set builds, exhibitions and exhibits, music, entertainments, workshops, hands on activities, games, photo opportunities for of course some of the best maker traders in the steampunk community. TimeQuake has it all in a quirky world where imagination knows no bounds.
For 2019 we will have:
Desolation — Our Post Apocalypse Zone where Warboys and Tank Girls rub shoulders with vault dwellers and zombies.
Deadman’s Gulch — Our WesternWorld. Wild Wild West meeting Cowboys vs Aliens with Westworld thrown into the mix.
SteamWars — where a galaxy far far away is actually here at TimeQuake celebrating the struggle between empire and rebellion but with a punk twist.
TimeLords — time travel has been a feature of steampunk since its inception. Of course we must include it at TimeQuake.
Darkhold — new for 2019 a fantasy Zone for fae and magical creatures including our popular steamwizard features.
Of course this is all tied together through our steampunk heart and exhibitions.
Deadman’s Gulch landing party — Friday (1930-2330)
This year our landing party theme is Western World. Whether you want to draw inspiration from Wild Wild West, Cowboys vs Aliens, Westworld or just “good ole Bonanza” join us for an evening of music, entertainment and socialising. Dress to fit in if you can.
Saturday night we have the Survivors party. (2000-0000) the world had ended this is where you would celebrate still being alive. Dress in your post apocalyptic finest or keep a stiff upper lip with your steampunk finery. We are delighted to be welcoming back the World’s leading Post Apocalyptic Band V2A.
