Makki Masjid is pleased to announce that it is jointly hosting the 'Eid in the Park' event later this month with Alfurqan Mosque and Islamic Centre in Platt Fields Park, Rusholme on Friday 15th June, weather permitting, Inshaa'Allaah.
The 'Eid in the Park' event will allow us to revive the Sunnah of the Prophet Muhammad (Peace and Blessing of Allaah be upon him) who would often pray the Eid Prayer in a large open space, and it will provide the Muslims of Greater Manchester with an opportunity to celebrate the day of Eid with family and friends in a vibrant and exciting outdoor atmosphere.
The park will be open for guests to arrive from 8am on the morning of Eid to give sufficient time to park their cars (on site parking available) and make their way down to the Prayer area. There will then be a single Prayer with an English Khutbah at 9am, and shortly thereafter at 11am the gates will be opened to the Children's funfair rides and the various market stalls that will cater to the shoppers and food lovers amongst you.
On behalf of ourselves and Alfurqan Mosque and Islamic Centre, we invite all of you, including your families, friends, neighbours and colleagues to join us as we celebrate the joyous day of Eid in a way you have never experienced before!
Please note that the day of Eid is subject to the visibility of the new moon and could be on Friday 15th or Saturday 16th, as Allaah wills
