Join us for our 3rd annual Bubbles n’ Brass afternoon — a free family event for all ages with beautiful bubbles & live brass music from «Big Bubble Man» Ian Russell & New Mills Band. Set in the scenic hills of New Mills, High Lea Park has great play facilities & lots of open space to explore, plus cake, crisps & soft drinks stalls on the day.
New Mills Band (1812) is the oldest continuously active brass band in the UK & still going strong; we welcome members of all ages & abilities in our learner & main bands from new beginners to experienced players. If you'd like to start playing an instrument or restart do get in touch — rehearsals are on Thursday evenings at St. George's Parish Hall & very affordable.
Ian Russell is a bubble artist & science communicator who has painted the air not only across the High Peak but through Europe & as far afield as Russia & South Africa! Be amazed as Ian creates a beauty of rainbow colours with his magnificent show ably accompanied by live music.
